Dr. Bill Smith currently serves as the president of the John Leland Center for Theological Education. He was formerly the pastor of Memorial Baptist Church in Arlington, VA and the founding member of IMPACT Community. He first came to India in 2001 and again in 2004 with the Baptist World Alliance. He returned in 2005 representing Memorial Baptist Church.

Chim and Fay have partnered with IMPACT Community since 2007. Chim, a mechanical engineer, sold his successful motor repair business in Long Beach, CA . Fay retired as a nurse practitioner. They visited Madhira in 2010. They have been very invested in the work of IMPACT, especially supporting the work of the Violet Training and Sewing Center for semi-literate rural Dalit women. Fay has passed away so Chim continues their partnership with IMPACT.
