WHAT WE DO
At IMPACT Community, we partner with Dalit children, youth, and women to overcome discrimination, poverty, and injustice. We seek to empower Dalits to become catalysts of their own community’s sustainable transformation.
We work in 30 villages with the help of 26 local leaders in two southeastern states of India, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Our Programs
We derived these initiatives from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s three-fold clarion call to Dalits to:
Be Educated:
We offer formal education in schools as well as field-specific skill development.
Be Organized:
We help Dalit women prepare for and launch small businesses.
Be Agitated:
We encourage Dalits to rise above their circumstances, foster self-respect, and create a better future for themselves and their families.
